The latest retail development in South Yorkshire’s Dearne Valley has used Adams Rite’s Sentinel 6 locking package to bolster security.
Located close to the Manvers Lake and parkland area, which is currently used as a training venue for the British Olympic canoeing team, the newly developed Onyx Retail Park features six modern units and is expected to attract well-known retail and food outlets.
With 95,000 visitors attracted each year to the nearby RSPB nature reserve, footfall is expected to be high and, therefore, door sets and security were required to be both robust and accessible.
Supplied by Alusec, the Rotherham based architectural fabricator that provided the door sets and glazing for the new retail park, Adams Rite’s Sentinel 6 locking package was used on all six units.
Featuring an exclusively developed mortice mechanical deadlock and complementary Europrofile cylinder and escutcheon, Sentinel 6 was specified at the project due to its successful inclusion in PAS24 doorset tests; enabling these door sets to meet the Secured by Design accreditation when used in a complete door set.
The high security Sentinel 6 locking package from Adams Rite is engineered to meet the BS EN 12209 Lock Standard Test to Security Grade 6, making it ideal for high profile retail applications.
