The Gibraltar-based Bland Group International has merged the three local security firms it recently acquired into a new company called Operations Support Group.
The initiative to re-brand the three firms – Security Express, Watch-I.T and Secur-I.T – is a key step in positioning OSG as a leading provider of security service, both in Gibraltar and in other markets. OSG currently works with several large businesses and organisations in Gibraltar, providing security services for cash in transit, biometric systems, closed circuit television (CCTV) and alarms.
OSG is also building on its security guard capability, using only trained and experienced personnel. The new company will trade under five separate divisions – Security, Training, Systems, Equipment and Logistics, enabling it to deliver services across the complete spectrum of the security industry.
In addition to its current operational services, OSG has plans to enter the market for equipment and systems procurement, as well as offering training and concierge services to a range of businesses and institutions.
The company believes Gibraltar is geographically well placed to allow future expansion into international markets, both in Europe and in Africa.
“OSG is now a complete integrated security service, equipped to deal with the current climate and needs of today’s markets,” said John Perez, BGI Chief Executive Officer. We have totally re-branded the new company in keeping with a progressive, current and professional organisation.
“We continue to generate interest from government agencies and commercial organisations alongside our ongoing commitment to providing a safe and secure environment for all our existing clients.
“As part of the Bland Group with the direct support of our Chairman, Mr James Gaggero, and our extensive international network, we aim to continue to develop OSG as the market leader in security services in Gibraltar and the wider region.”
