AFTER starring in pop videos and appearing in films, Guy Fox has opened the door to a new career with the Master Locksmiths Association (MLA).
Guy, 27, from Milton Keynes, has been appointed marketing officer at the MLA, the UK’s leading trade association for the locksmithing profession.
He is based at their headquarters at Daventry, Northamptonshire.
While studying for a business entrepreneurship degree at the University of Northampton, he started doing some extra acting work and landed the lead role in the music video for the 2008 Scouting For Girls hit, Heartbeat.
He was also an extra in the 2015 film Brash Young Turks.
Before joining the MLA, Guy gained marketing experience at Howdens Joinery and completed internships with Auto Express car magazine and a marketing agency.
His responsibilities with the MLA include creating and managing marketing content for the organisation, both in print and social media, producing a new newsletter, brochures and flyers.
One of his key roles is to increase awareness of the MLA and promote the importance of using MLA locksmiths to the general public, including an emphasis on security vetting members to protect the public. He is also responsible for promoting the MLA’s training arm, the British Locksmiths Institute (BLI)
He said: “I gave up acting to concentrate on my marketing career, and I’m delighted to have joined the MLA.
“I’m looking forward to helping the MLA raise awareness of the locksmithing industry and the work we do as an organisation promoting the profession.”
