Love them or hate them, smart locks are a huge growth area in the industry. With Adaptalock here to support smart lock solutions for double glazed doors, some concerns of locksmiths that currently turn away enquiries to install these products, are dealt with.
I, like many Locksmiths, believe that any smart lock installed on a domestic door, should have a key override in case of any kind of failure, for example the battery dying, an issue with the proximity device activating the lock or a malfunction of the lock itself.
