The National Security Inspectorate (NSI) is delighted to be participating at the forthcoming Lockex Security and Fire Safety event (www.lockex.org) taking place on 8th to 10th June at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. Lockex is the pre-eminent event for locksmiths and those working in the security industry in general. This year’s event has a new industry pavilion, a showcase for leading authorities across the locksmith, auto-locksmith, security and fire safety industries, including DHF (Door & Hardware Federation) with whom the NSI collaborates on its Powered Gates scheme.
Installers of automated gates and barriers are able to become NSI approved to show their clients that they have been independently audited against the DHF code of practice, and authorised to issue Certificates of Compliance to clients of new powered gates and barriers installed in accordance with the DHF Code of Practice. Experts from DHF and NSI will be on hand to answer questions about the safe design and installation of electronic gates, with the ultimate aim of preventing accidents and fatalities. Lockex will be a key opportunity for delegates to discuss the latest standards, certifications and training.
Richard Jenkins, NSI Chief Executive: “We are very much looking forward to exhibiting alongside DHF at this year’s Lockex. NSI is committed to raising safety standards and reducing the risk presented by unsafe gates. We are proud to be collaborating with DHF in working together to achieve these goals.”
