Hickleys is always looking to move forward with both product range and customer service. The latest innovation is the Locked In loyalty scheme that is replacing tech support and warranty contracts and looks to reward locksmiths for their continued custom with Hickleys.
Locked In is available in two levels that depend on the number of key programming units a locksmith has and how much they spend each month on key supplies. The top level is Platinum, which provides FREE tech support and warranty for two tester units, as well as 20% discount on all web purchases of keys, remotes and transponders. All that required to join is an annual commitment and a small monthly minimum spend. No charges are applied at all unless a small monthly minimum spend threshold is not met. The second level is Locked In Gold, which covers 1 tester and gives 10% discount on key supply purchases.
Anyone who currently has a tech support or warranty with Hickleys is able convert their remaining months into Locked In months and in that scenario the need for a minimum spend is waived for the number of remaining months. Dan Summers, Hickleys General Manager said: “We wanted to be able to offer our existing customers the opportunity to take advantage of these discounts without having to wait for contract anniversaries. We strongly believe that everyone wins with Locked In, as it offers Locksmiths discounts on already competitive prices while securing Hickleys with regular orders.”
There is no downside to joining Locked In, we are not asking you to spend more money, most auto locksmiths are spending well in excess of £300 per month on keys, remotes and transponder, all we ask is that you consider switching some of that spend to Hickleys.
If we look at three examples on a customer joining Locked In Platinum and spending £500, or £300 or £200 per month on keys:
Spend £500 and you receive a 20% discount saving you £100 plus you get free tech support and warranty worth £30 so overall you have a saving of £130 on a spend of £500.
Spend £300 and you receive a 20% discount saving you £60, you have still hit the minimum spend so tech support and extended warranty is still free saving another £30 making your total saving £90 on a spend of £300.
Spend only £100 and as a member of Lock In Platinum you still receive 20% discount equaling a saving of £20. Because the minimum spend wasn’t reached tech support and extended warranty on the month is chargeable at £30, however as you have received 20% discount on your key purchases the balance for the month is only £10, not the £30 normally paid.
The only scenario where we believe Locked In is not a huge benefit to an auto locksmith is where they do not spend £100 on keys per month and don’t require any tech support or product extended warranties. There must be very few auto locksmiths that fit into this bracket.
