Grouphomesafe’s Vectis Plus Takes Centre Stage At Casac Event

Grouphomesafe, the UK’s leading supplier of door and window components, has been participating in an initiative organised by CASAC (Community Action and Support Against Crime), the West Yorkshire not for profit crime reduction organisation, by showcasing its Vectis Plus cylinder free door system.

Promoting the initiative at a special event for the Police that was held on Thursday 20 September, CASAC has taken the lead with an innovative anti-burglary solution for the region following Police reports that villains are still attempting to snap Euro cylinder locks.

Brett Evans of grouphomesafe, said:  “We’re pleased that CASAC chose to feature our Vectis Plus family of products as part of their initiative and to promote the benefits of installing multi-point locking systems to homeowners.  Because Vectis has no cylinder, there’s no problem with cylinder snapping or bumping and with so much press and media coverage this year on the topic of cylinder attack, customers can be reassured that the system meets all the latest security requirements and will give them the peace of mind they seek.”

With home security remaining high on the national news agenda, the Vectis Plus family of products offers a wide range of benefits for the installer and homeowner alike.

The system is described by grouphomesafe as being the ‘next generation’ in multi-point locking products.  In line with the requirements of PAS 23/24 and Secured by Design; the patented Vectis Plus features tried and tested lever technology and is the first to arrive on the UK market with hardened plates to provide enhanced protection against attack.

Neil Goldup, chief executive officer at CASAC said: “The new Vectis Plus lock is an excellent product to discourage lock snapping attempts and also exceeds Secured by Design certification, the Police endorsed testing standard for crime prevention products.”

Vectis Plus comes with either a 35mm or 45mm backset with a centre hook or deadbolt. Available in a wide variety of lock specifications such as the three hook two roller for PVCu doors and the two hook option for composite or timber doors, plus a slave lock for French/double door applications. All gearboxes come with three brass keys.

Homeowners living within the West Yorkshire region can request a visit from CASAC who will provide a free, no obligation security assessment to check the standard of locks fitted to PVCu and Composite doors and recommend alternative solutions.
