In July, we held our first webinar to showcase the brand spanking new MLB Spare Key programming tool. Since the MLB has only recently hit the market, we wanted to take the opportunity to ensure you are ahead. The webinar provided our attendees with comprehensive information, ensuring they were fully prepared prior to the tool’s launch. Throughout this hour-long webinar, Ashley, our Technical & Training Consultant, explained what MLB is, the coverage that this product provides, and what is included in the kit. By giving this insight into the new product, Ashley was also able to capture how the tool operates ensuring you feel more confident ahead of your first use.
Through a live demonstration of the product’s functions and parts, as well as labelled images and videos to accompany it, the webinar aimed to introduce the Xhorse MLB programming tool and explore the intricate details of its functions.

Throughout the webinar, Ashley encouraged all attendees to ask any questions they had about the product and set up.
Greig, our Technical Business Development Manager, was looking after the Q&A channel so that we could answer questions at the end of the webinar. Quite a few of our attendees were curious about how to generate an XHORSE MLB key into a dealer key and Ashley was able to explain the process to them.

Xhorse’s MLB is used to code spare keys across to the current supported MLB systems. As a cable interface, it allows for a smooth connection between your Key Tool Plus via the USB cable provided with each purchase of the tool.
Since the MLB is compatible with various models of Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen, Lamborghini, and Bentley, this tool is essential to have in your van increasing the spare key services you offer.
Before purchasing, it is important to check the full application list which breaks down all the specific models from these brands to ensure your vehicle is listed and to give you peace of mind when purchasing the tool.
The process involves obtaining the data from a working key by removing the original circuit board from its casing and soldering on the VCI cable. This allows the working keys data to be read and enables you to generate a dealer key using the MLB interface along with Xhorse MLB keys. The dealer key is then prepared for programming with the Key Tool Plus or VVDI2.
Additionally, no initial interaction is needed with the vehicle until key programming is required.
The MLB tool successfully offers a user-friendly experience and provides clear and concise guidance through its process.
